Our mission is to guide every child into a genuine and unshakable relationship with Jesus Christ that continues to mature and develop along with the child. We do this by providing a safe and loving place for children to learn, play, and worship. Every child has an important place in God's story and in Kids Town children get to begin exploring just what that means.

NOTICE:

Children's Ministry is here to serve children from babies thru Fifth grade.  During our Sunday services, your child will experience his/her very own service with worship, a Bible lesson, and hands on activities in a safe, friendly, and enjoyable atmosphere. During this time we have put into place many procedures to keep our attendees healthy: smaller classes, a one-way traffic pattern, extra cleaning protocols before and after service, individual supplies and toy boxes, social distancing and masks for ages 3+.

CLASSES OFFERED

JAM – Jesus and Me Class – This class is for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

Elementary Class – This class is for kids in Kindergarten – 5th Grade.

Our volunteers serve to ensure your kids encounter God and His unconditional love and have fun when coming to church. We work hard to ensure your child’s safety while they are with us. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak with Samantha by email at samantha@communitiyofgrace.com or in person on your next visit! Also contact her if you are interested in receiving an email when there are events or updates for the children’s ministry

If you are more comfortable taking your child to the service with you, that is also an option! Our church is a true community and walking alongside you and your family is a pleasure. Children are never a disruption, just a joy! If you are more comfortable there is a cry room in the north building if you have need of it.

SUNDAY MORNING

Where do you go?

We are in the South building on the bottom floor.

When do you come?

Doors are open at 9:45am and class lasts from 10:00am-11:15am.

What do your children learn?

Our youngest churchgoers in the pre-k class start with play time before they sing worship songs. The kids then watch a Saddleback kids lesson which is a fun and interactive video, followed by review questions to help them take the lesson to heart. The rest of their time is filled with a craft for those old enough to participate, and other activities and games.

Once children enter kindergarten, they graduate to our next curriculum, Simply loved. The elementary class will be walking through the bible over the next few years but before our lesson we spend time in worship to prepare our hearts. Each lesson focuses on a key verse to memorize, a Bible story, life application, crafts and games.

  • SAMANTHA SLOAN

Samantha Sloan is passionate about children and even more so in teaching them about Jesus.  Samantha's gentle touch for our children comes from being a mother herself, and also serves as Assistant Director of our MOPS group.

Sunday morning

Family life is busier than ever but in Kids Town, time slows down, as kids get to play and relax all while soaking up God's Word. Children from newborns through fifth grade are welcome to come learn about Christ and their special place in God's plan.

What do your children learn?

Children in our twos and pre-k classes follow along with our Lil' K curriculum where they learn topical Bible lessons that are presented in a fun way that is easy to understand.

Once children enter kindergarten, they graduate to our next curriculum, The Gospel Project. Through The Gospel Project they will work their way through the entire Bible two times before moving up to student ministry. Each lesson focuses on a key verse to memorize, a Bible story, life application, crafts and games, prayer, as well as worship time and Bible study time. The lesson is broken up between sections where all of our children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade come together for large group and time in small groups with other children your child's age.
